Volunteer Advisers

We are always looking for volunteer advisers who can commit to one morning a week (9:30am – 1:30pm) for at least six months. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but it would be useful if you have a background in customer service or advice giving. The role is office-based and you will need to have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and research skills. For more information, please see the role outline below.

 

 

 

 

Senior Adviser and Project Lead; Covid Phoenix Project (paid part time role)

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior adviser to lead our Covid-19 recovery project by conducting complex casework for clients with debt, housing and welfare benefit issues as well as supervising our volunteer advisers for general issues and supporting the Manager with the operational management of Paddock Wood Community Advice Centre. Flexibility is essential as you will be expected to act as duty officer and manage the advice centre in the Manager’s absence. We would like to hear from you if you have previous management or supervisory experience and have worked or volunteered in an advice setting for at least two years.
